Kimberley trip 2015 - dinosaur footprints and a light house

For the last day in Broome we decided to go and visit the lighthouse and the dinosaur footprints. They are only about 5km out of town towards the port. The views are amazing and the water just so blue! We managed to get a lovely family photo taken on the rocks. Sam loved it there and even though we didn't get to see the real footprints the cast prints were just as fun.

We then went for a drive out to the port to have a look. A cruise ship was in dock and it looked pretty impressive. Then we went and did a little bit more shopping for last minute things.

We got back to the campsite and packed up stuff for leaving the next day. Then got together some cheese and crackers etc for the last night watching the sunset on cable beach. We went down a little earlier so Sam could have a swim.

I really enjoyed our time in Broome and Cable Beach. I would come back again. Next time I would like to head up to Cape Leveque and free camp on the cliff edge/beach. Or maybe we will just sail here one day!
