Hellish start to the day but once at Hervey Bay and all set up things seemed to change and everyone started to relax, unwind and enjoy.
The pack-up at Rockhampton took a while and the girls spent most of the morning in the shower whilst everything was packed up. Gaz and I had disagreements and I spent most of the drive looking out my window not speaking to anyone. We stopped for a toilet break and cuppa at a nice rest area with a huge tree.
We drove through a town called Childers - Both Gaz and I commented that we could live there - gorgeous looking town, lots of character.
Got stuck in roadworks just before the turnoff to Hervey Bay - it was amusing to listen to the UHF radio (which reminds me - we had an absolute idiot truck driver trying to overtake before we stopped for a cuppa - he got an earbashing from Gaz over the UHF)
We did a full setup of the camper with awning and walls. Booked into Beachfront Tourist Park Piabla 2 x nights @ $45 per night.
