Bramwell Station to Kennedy River Rest Area

33km north of Laura. Wow what a big trip today! On the road by 9am, having lunch at Coen pub (s)exchange hotel at midday where we had a roadkill burger ($12) and a schooner of XXXX. Then past Musgrave, past Hann river roadhouse and on to Kennedy River Rest area - or as we found out "YT's" rest area (whitey).

We pulled into the rest area around 4:35 pm, have the tent set up, a few chairs out, and the fire started by 5:30pm. Tonight's dinner is chicken wings in the camp oven with a side of steamed veg and potatoes. Yumm

Next destination Lions Den pub on the Bloomfield track. Then we'll drive back to Cairns via the Daintree.

It's cooling down again as we head south. :(
