Roma to Emerald

Found a campsite about 40km north of Emerald turned right into Gordon Rd then took a dirt track running along the fenceline of a property called Lucknow then just over the creek bed of Gordonstone creek.

Even though it was 400km from Roma to Emerald it still took most of the day. We left Roma around 9am and didn't pull up to camp until near 5pm. We stopped at Roma for brekkie then Rollestone for Lunch. Fueled up at Emerald and filled up the water container purchased some more beer and a few other grocery items then took off out of Emerald.

There were a lot of roadworks throughout the whole day but the most were just as we left Emerald to find a campsite. The roads definitely need work lots of rolling and undulating.

It is warm enough for just a singlet top now although I still chucked my dressing gown on for night time around the campfire just to take the night chill off. We had steak and veges again for dinner I'm loving that grill! Also Gaz is now making a fire pit whenever we make a fire as the coals come up so much better.

438km to Charters Towers another long drive! Oh almost forgot Gaz spotted some grease around the rear near side wheel and thinks the axle seal may have gone so we are keeping an eye on it. Next time we stop for a couple of days possibly on Cairns then he's taking the wheel off to have a look and fix it up.
