Emerald to Charters Towers

Actual campsite Macrossan Park 22km east of Charters Towers. 20 00 12s 146 26 22e. We left our bush land campsite at Gordonstone Creek around 8.20am we stopped for a sausage sandwich lunch around midday then pulled into our campsite just after 3pm. We would have reached it sooner if it wasn't for the roadworks . This is the first time we've seen a sign warning of crocodiles. So after setting up the campsite we went for a walk to see if we could spot any along the river we didn't see any. Sam is having a blast he loved seeing the trains go across the big bridges then ran around without a nappy on for a while. He the goes for a wee and says, "look mummy I'm drawing" too cute. He cracked me up this morning while we were packing up. We have brought his turtle potty with us but haven't used it yet. He managed to pull it out of its spot in the car placed it in top of the clothes and pulled his pants off and did a wee. He then came looking for me proud as punch and kept telling me he did a wee. It was only when Gaz went to the car and found the potty that we clicked about why he was so proud of himself.

Gaz is worried about the wheel so we are probably only going to drive to Townsville today not Cairns like originally planned. But that's ok we'll get there when we get there!
