Charters Towers to Townsville

We decided to get someone to have a look at the rear wheel which meant booking into a caravan park. The Range Caravan Park.

It was only 110km to Townsville from where we had stayed so it only took us just over an hour to get into town. We got all set up and drove the car to a mechanic, then caught a taxi to the local shopping complex to do a bit of shopping and waste a few hours while the wheel was fixed.

It had started to rain by this stage. By the time we got a taxi back to the mechanic then drove back to the camper it was pouring. We ended up getting a takeaway dinner and watched a movie on the laptop.

It's the next day now and it's still raining we are heading in the general direction of Cairns but the weather forecast is not looking good. We might have this rain for the next week or so and if that happens we might not be able to do all the places we wanted to do in Cape York.

Oh well it's a holiday!
